ST JOSEPH COUNTY - DISTRICT C (GRANGER AREA)

District C is one of nine County Council districts in St Joseph County. It includes all of Harris Township as well as portions of Clay and Penn Townships. The district is comprised mostly of suburban neighborhoods with some agricultural areas along the southern edge. Granger is unincorporated and does not have its own city government relying instead on the county as well as township branches of government.

The county provides services such as public safety (county police and courts), infrastructure (roadway maintenance and code enforcement), community enrichment (parks and museums) and general administration.

Harris Township focuses on fire protection, parks, cemeteries and community assistance.
