Why Vote for Jamie O'Brien?
I'm tested & trusted with a history of positive community engagement supporting GOP and conservative principles.
Why Not Vote for Incumbent Dan Schaetzle?
While I and many other Republicans supported him in 2022, this has not worked out well as he has shown himself as an unfaithful Republican and is considered 'Not Qualified' by the Republican party:
- He was recently censured as 'Not in Good Standing' for publicly opposing Republican candidates in 2024.
- He has struggled to get along with many local Republican officials and typically responds arrogantly when challenged.
- Just last year he opted to formally join a Democrat-led coalition to get their support for him to be Council President (despite only 2 years on the Council). In exchange he supported only Democrats for all other 2025 leadership roles and supported many liberal democrat initiatives such as increased spending, liberal legislation and controversial land development.
Why Vote May 5th?
Voting is easy and democracy works better when more citizens vote. I worry that democrats may quietly support Dan in this open Republican Primary May 5th because he's much more receptive to their liberal politics.
